Mic Blocker – Terms of Use

Effective date: 14 October 2026

These terms apply to the Android app Mic Blocker ("the app") published by Zoopet ("we"). By installing or using the app you agree to them.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on Android devices you own or control, for lawful purposes, subject to these terms and the terms of the store you downloaded it from.

2. What the app can and cannot do

The app reduces access to your microphone by apps running in the background, alerts you when an app starts recording, and compares installed apps with a public list of known stalkerware. Android decides which app gets the microphone: since Android 10 the app you are using on screen, calls and some system apps can still record, and right after a restart protection stays paused until you tap the reminder. Spy Scan only recognises apps on the bundled list and cannot detect every threat. The app is a privacy aid, not a guarantee against surveillance. For a complete microphone block on Android 12 or newer, use Android's microphone switch.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use the app to interfere with emergency calls, to break the law, or to reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app.

4. Ads and purchases

The app shows ads. "Remove ads" is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play or the Samsung Galaxy Store under their terms, including their refund rules. It removes ads on devices signed in with the same store account.

5. Third-party content

Spyware indicators come from Echap stalkerware-indicators and are used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their owners.

6. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including that the app will block every recording, detect every spyware app or be free of errors.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from recordings or software we did not block or detect. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence.
